Andrea Allison Advocacy Award

Andrea Allison was a SCWHE institutional representative for Limestone and an executive board member for quite a few years. In 2019, after the death of our SCWHE sister, the board established the Andrea Allison Advocacy Award in her memory. She loved each of her students and was an avid supporter of students with disabilities.

The award will be presented every other year to an individual with a proven record of advancing and support students or students issues on their campus. The recipient will receive a certificate, and their institution will receive $250 for their campus mental health services.

The following criteria will be considered when selecting the recipient.

The recipient must have a record of participation in and support for the activities of South Carolina Women in Higher Education
The recipient must have a record of advancing and supporting students or student’s initiatives on their respective campus.
The recipient must currently hold a position in higher education in a South Carolina institution of higher education.
