Food, Equity, and Education: An Advocacy Workshop

Event Details
This session explores the realities of food insecurity among college students and its impact on academic success and well-being. Participants will learn about FoodShare SC’s work on college campuses, including efforts to increase food access, build partnerships, and support students experiencing hunger. The discussion will then segue into college food insecurity advocacy, highlighting how campus-based initiatives connect to broader policy and systems-level change.

Drawing from shared experiences in this work, the session will demonstrate how engaging in advocacy can strengthen food access efforts and empower students, staff, and community members to create lasting change.
